Jan always comes up with the best color pallets for our Color Challenge at Ivy Scraps. All of the items made are FREE to our Members. We would love to have you as our newest member and while you are there, stop by the February COLOR CHALLENGE thread and grab my mini. I no longer sell my creations, so it's the only place to snag them and they are always FREE.
This is the layout I did to show off my mini, isn't my granddaughter, Aria, too cute for words? She started walking at just at 10 months, she's cruising now.
I hope you are having a good start to your new year. February 1 is the Grand Opening of Oh Snap! Let's Scrap! and I hope you will stop by to see what a great place it is. Download-a-Day kits, templates, challenges, and wonderful members is what you'll find. For stopping by to see me, enjoy this pack of WordArt...Hugs!
OH SNAP! LET'S SCRAP! is officially opened and we are so excited to have a site with no store, just fun and memory sharing. Here you can use any kit you like for your layouts and advertise for any designer you choose, as long as you are active in the forum...not too much to ask.
I have the honor of starting off the Download-a-Day kits for the first 10 days of February, with LilyBelle Designs and Jan Waite providing beautiful kits for you the rest of the month. Using the the "How Sweet It Is," we each made a kit and broke it down into several daily downloads...I chose a cooking theme...what Will Fay and Jan choose? You'll have to come over to see. Here is a preview of what you can snag at www.ohsnapletsscrap.com February 1-10HERE.
This challenge is going to be ongoing in that each month we will scrap
about the previous month, using your style, but focusing on traditional
scrapbooking. Since we aren't all "traditional" scrappers, please use
whatever format makes you happy, but my templates and examples will be
traditional, as that is me. I will post several templates in this
section to help give you ideas or for you to use, whatever is best for
YOU. Some of you may want to start a 12-month, 2-page layout, where each
month you add to it, like a progressive scrap; others may want to do a
1- or 2-page spread each month; and some of us just might want to use a
calendar format. The idea is that by next January you will have an
entire scrapbook for 2016 finished....not in time for Christmas, but in
time for a birthday, mother's day, or father's day gift for your family
as the year goes on.
I really want you to put thought into these pages....it doesn't matter
if you finish during the month or by the end of the year, I just want
you to have your year captured to pass on to your family. I will post a
gift at the end of each month, just for stopping in, so rather you
participate or not, you can snag a gift from me, but, of course, I hope
you will join in on capturing our memories! As long as you are active and participating, you can use kits and
advertise for any designer on the web, as long as it is family-friendly.
So, for example, you can post your layout, along with a preview of the
kit you used and a link to that designer's store.
Let's make 2016 Memorable!
Here is a sampling of the templates I have ready for you to use HERE.
These are the posting bonuses for February and March challenges.
So I hope you will stop by our NEW site and join in on the fun while capturing the memories for your family to cherish for many years.
I'm posting this early because it's vacation time and me and hubby are going on a road trip...not sure when we will leave or how long we will be gone, but it's sure to be FUN!
There is a season for all things and having a digital scrapbooking store for me is coming to an end. I will still make things as bonuses for challenges and to give away here and there, but the pressure of so many commitments has run its course for me. I need time for my new craft room and my family.
I will have a sale from September 1 through November 30....come and take advantage of it....you can get a ton of stuff for just a few dollars.
I have the BEST hubby ever. I went home one day and said that I wanted to turn the "cat" room into a Craft Room. The next day he was sending me links of things I needed..LOL....2 months later, here it is, an Amazing room just for me, my scrapbooking, crafting, sewing, and yes, the cats love it too.
At least he knows where to find me now. It was hard to photograph and get all of my "stuff" in there!
My daughter went on a journey this year where
she was to get healthy and compete in a fitness competition in April of
2015. Since she was ahead of schedule her training put her in a practice
competition in November, where she did amazing...placed 7th (or maybe
9th). Her friends supported her meal planning and food plan and were
there to cheer her on.
The scripture is her favorite and one she tries to live by in all she does. I am so proud of her always, but this journey was especially a challenge for her, but she did it and will compete again in July (moved it so she could stay in Houston and not travel).
She is so beautiful inside that the outside doesn't matter, but it's something she wanted to mark off of her bucket list.
We are excited to have you join us on our Birthday Blog Train! The designers have created some special gifts for you that coordinate with the color palette used for the forum rewards this month. Between the challenge rewards, birthday rewards and the blog train, you will have a very nice assortment of things to scrap your "Team Spirit".
The train will run for the month of November so be sure to hit all the stops and collect your gifts. Don't forget to leave some love along the way. The main station is the Ivy Scraps Blog. You will find the full list there. If you get lost along the way, just head back to the blog and pick up where you left off.
Thank you so much for being a part of our 5th birthday celebration!
