OUTLAW ATV PARK

We had so much fun this month with the 4-wheelers...Outlaw ATV Park in Crosby, Texas is a favorite hangout of ours....I scrapped a couple pics and thought I'd share a few more....nothing better than Family Day with the kids...that's what memories they will never forget!

We ran across our friend, Mike, who took us on a rustic trail...oh what FUN! Only Robert and Anthony were brave enough to actually take the ATVs down this incline. Mike and Matt held on to the back to help.

Kaden Turns 4

Can you believe it's been 4 years since our little grandson was in NICU??? WOW, time has flown and we has LOVED every moment with the BEST KID EVER!! It's so hard to believe that this time next year we will be registering him for kindergarten....oh can't he stay this age forever??? LOL......anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE BIT.....I LOVE YOU!!

Have You Ever Seen An Okapi?

Well, I had never heard of one until my precious grandson, Kaden, begged me to take him to the zoo to see the mysterious Okapie....what a beautiful animal!

The Okapi is a giraffid artiodactyl mammal native to the Ituri Rainforest, located in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in central Africa. Although the Okapi bears striped markings reminiscent of the zebra, it is most closely related to the giraffe. There are approximately 10,000 to 20,000 in the wild and only 40 different worldwide institutions display them. Soooo....in Houston, we are fortunate to have one of the few in our zoo...Kaden is oh soooo HAPPY, which has made the Okapi my new Favorite Zoo Animal!

It's Summer in Houston!

Summer sure got her quick this year. The weather is still relatively gorgeous for Houston, so not complaining YET. We started out the summer by taking a Memorial Weekend trip to Concan, Texas with our good friends, Pat and Tanyia. Their condo proved to be a relaxing place to hang out away from the kids. Just minutes from Garner State Park and the Frio River, there is a lot of fun to be had there.



The rest of the summer will involve a July 4th backyard party--Texas Style, a couples bridal shower at the end of July and a September wedding of my son and Katy on September 8 in Las Vegas. Two destination weddings in one year...OUCH! Kaden has decided he wants to be a "for-hire" ring bearer because he is just so darn good at it and what a cutie pie. He has done two weddings already this year.

28 Years With the ONE I LOVE!

I can't believe it's May already! Every month this year has been full and busy with so many different things and lots of love in the air (5 family weddings this year). We celebrated Mother's Day with 30 family members for brunch at Pappasitos and Lindsay and Matt gave me the most precious book of their wedding...love it! Katy and Anthony brought me beautiful roses and paid for my brunch!! I've been taking fondant cake decorating classes this month and look out Ace of Cakes, there's a new gal in town....NOT....it'll never be a career for sure, but it is loads of FUN! May has been a month of sickness....everyone seems to have some variation of the flu, with my sweet hubby having the worst case. But, he is well and just in time to celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary, which is this Saturday, May 23!! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, HE IS STILL THE ONE I LOVE!! We are celebrating it with our oldest friends, Pat and Tanyia Conner in Concan, Texas near Garner State Park...it will be the first time in forever that we have actually gone anywhere with no children or grandson so I'm having that bittersweet feeling--glad to have time away, but will miss little Kaden immensley!!

Looking forward to June when we celebrate my grandson's 4th birthday on the 10th....hubby and me are making him a 3D Monster Truck cake for his party....or that's the plan...stay tuned for pics of what we end up with.

What a Vacation!!

We had a WINTER WONDERLAND vacation/wedding!! The weather couldn't have been more perfect if we had planned it ourselves....tons of snow on the ground, but clear roads. I came home sick and stiff (this old body wasn't made for snow games, even if I were sitting 3 inches above the grond...LOL)....so am just starting the scrapping process and wanted to share the few I have completed for various challenges at Moo Two. Still waiting on the professional pics so my layouts will show just how GORGEOUS the wedding venue was.

WE'RE GOING TO THE CHAPEL!

Well Ladies, it's really time for that long-awaited wedding. We leave in the morning and will be in Lake Tahoe before noon.

I want to thank you all for your well wishes and can't wait to get back to scrap these wonderful memories....my heart will be with all of you on the mountaintop!

AND...

After Lindsay and Matt's guests have left and before we head back to Houston....me, hubby, Lindsay, Matt, Anthony, Katy, and our precious Kaden are taking a sleigh ride over the hills and through the woods and to an overlook of Lake Tahoe to renew our wedding vows....how majestic and awesome that will be!!!!....pray for the weather to hold up as Tuesday, February 24 at 11:00 is the target date.....God willing and good weather.

This will truly be a magical vacation!!!

I won't have internet and oh what a relaxing time this will be....10 hours total air time to read (if I still remember how...lol).....and snowy nights to cuddle by the fire!!! It just doesn't get any better than that....oh wait, it does....my 96-year-old grandmother is being driven down from Spokane by my aunt and uncle for the big day!!!!

GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!!!
